Is being vegan healthy?
Many leading researches and guidelines made by various scientific research institutions such as “The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics” have mentioned that a well-planned and balanced vegan diet is suitable for any of the stages of our life. A Balanced diet consists a wide variety of fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, legumes etc. which will affect in prevention of any heart disease, diabetes, some cancers but the meal have to be well planned and with variety.
But where to get your proteins after becoming vegan?
It is a common misconception that vegans don’t get enough protein from their meals. Basically everything we eat consists protein in them and most adults only need a very small amount of protein a day even though they eat way more than that.
Is it expensive being vegan?
If you are going to be entirely depending on processed food items and meat replacers for your vegan meals, it is going to be an expensive lifestyle choice. But if you choose a more simple and healthy way of being vegan like making your own meals from the ground up with the use of vegetables, grains, beans and fruits etc. It is substantially less expensive.
Do vegans eat fish?
Fish are also sentient living beings who values freedom and feels pain just as us humans do. So it is not the vegan way to eat living beings.
What vitamins a vegan has to take by other means?
The only vitamin that vegans cannot get from a plant diet is vitamin B-12. B-12 is found on some types of seeds like flax seeds in small quantities which will be sufficient for a healthy human being to fulfil their B-12 needs. But if you are suffering from a B-12 deficiency, there are plenty of vegan vitamin supplements available in the market and it is best to be taken with some insights from a vegan nutritionist.
Is honey vegan?
Honey is considered as an animal product by vegans and thus avoided consumption of it. Bee hives are farmed in unnatural conditions most of the time where the queen bee is sometimes artificially inseminated, wings cut off to sustain her from flying away and killed before its normal life span of around 5 years. Maple syrup, golden syrup, kithul palm syrup and agave nectar are substitute which can be used instead of bee’s honey.
What can you use instead of dairy?
There are plenty of plant based milk options available in the market now. The most common substitutes are soy milk, rice milks and almond milk. Apart from these, cashew milk, oat milk and quinoa milk is also used as a dairy replacer.

There are a lot of dairy free products such as vegan butters, vegan cheese, creams, margarines, vegan ice creams and vegan yoghurts available now in the market and which have similar or more nutritional values and also cruelty free.
Does vegan food tastes nice?
Yes of course. The only things stopping you from trying those has been the manipulative procedures made by multinational industries to make you less prone to consume plant based foods but take a bigger number of animal based and highly processed meals. These days being vegan has become much easier as there are plenty of plant based products and recipes available freely in the open market.
Can you drink alcohol when you are vegan?
Yes you can since most of the spirits are vegan aside from those evident ones which contains honey or cream in them. Most beers and wines has a filtration process where animal products such as albumin from eggs, gelatin, isinglass from fish and milk is used as filtering agents.
